The Elling Eide Center is pleased to sponsor panels on Tang and pre-Tang Chinese culture (broadly defined) at national and international conferences. Panels from any academic discipline are eligible, but the focus of the panel must be research on Tang and pre-Tang Chinese culture. Awards will not exceed $1,500 for domestic conferences or $2,000 for international conferences.
To apply for funding, please send the completed conference panel proposal to Harold Mitchell at the Elling Eide Center (hmitchell@ellingoeide.org). Please ensure that the panel proposal includes a description of the panel, titles and descriptions of individual papers, and list of participants including their academic rank and institutional affiliation. If this information is not required by the conference organizers, it should be added for the purpose of applying for funding. Please also indicate whether the proposal has been accepted by the conference organizers or if you are seeking support in the submission stage.
